Machine info
This machine belonged to the Raoul’s loot. I found
the usual blown RIFA in the power supply. Also the tape deck needed new
belts. I managed to dump some games and demos on a tape using the
SUPERTAPE program.
Here is the procedure to create a tape from the .WAV files using the
internal tape deck.
-
convert SUPERTAPE and any game or program from MZF to WAV using
MZF2WAV
-
connect a aux cable from your computer to the EAR input of the machine
-
disconnect the internal tape deck
-
short P1/P7, P2/P8, P5/P9 to allow the external EAR input to be used
-
turn on the machine and load SUPERTAPE by playing the wav file
-
load the game from the wave file in SUPERTAPE
-
carefully disconnect reconnect the tape deck
-
record to tape
Repair history
- Faults: no power, programs not loading
- Replaced RIFA capacitor on the power supply
- Replaced tape deck belts
